The outleis are located in the body о! №е dam in the internal five sections and
are arranged in three stages. The firsi stage has three temporary outlets [sections
18, 19 and 20 for letting through censtruction discharge and two permanent openings

{sections 16 and 21).

The second stage has five permaneni openings — one for water outle: and four
spillways.

The third stage contfains three free spillways for realising flood water.

The designed discharge of the outlets into the headrace Canal is 230 cu.m per
second and that of the spillways is 1,700 cu.m per second.

The power house has a power capacity of 100,000 kW with a designed water
discharge of 136 cu.m per second. The power station operates on the basis of the
irrigation regimen. The volume of basic construction work for the headworks units is
as follows: excavations — 3.15 million cu.m including 1.9 million cu.m of rock; con-
crete and reinforced concrete — 3.7 million cu.m; metal structures — 110,000 {оп5.

The total design cost of the project [storage and hydropower stalion] is 230
million roubles.

Magquette du barrage d’Andijan

sera établi a la base du barrage le long de toute la ligne йе charge, sous le pare-
ment amont.

La forte sismicité de la région (9 points) et la faible résistance de l'assise qui
se compose de chloritoschistes quarizifiés imposent des exigences plus séveres pour
ce qui est de la construction du barrage.

Les ouvrages de vidange soni éfablis dans le corps du barrage a l'intérieur de la
cavité de cing éléments, et ils se réparfissent sur frois éfages. Le premier étage
comporte trois orifices provisoires [éléments 18 & 20] servanf a la dérivation des

eaux pendanf les fraveaux, et deux pertuis définitifs (éléments 16 et 21].
